None (Fleet-Based crusading chapter). The planets of the Gryphonne system were left lifeless rocks after attack by Hive Fleet Leviathan in 994[1]]. Prior to its destruction, Gryphonne II was the primary world from which the Knights of Gryphonne drew aspirants to become Space Marines.

Organization

The Knights of Gryphonne follow the Codex Astartes loosely. Due to the necessities of being a crusading chapter, they do not have any reserve companies. Instead they field 9 Orders (Battle Companies) and the Order of Gryphonne (1st CCompany), is comprised of the Chapter Master, Librarians, Chaplains, and Veterans. The Order of Gryphonne is usually split to augment the other Orders.

Combat Doctrine

The Knights of Gryphonne prefer a hammer and anvil approach. They favor fielding armor, Neophyte Sharpshooters, and Devastators as an anvil and then applying a fast hitting hammer of Drop Pod assaults, teleporting Terminators and heroic intervention by Vanguard Veterans.

Beliefs

The Knights of Gryphonne secretly follow the Nestorian Cult, which be lives that when the Emperor is the Star Child. When he dies, his spirit will be released from the shackles of his body (and the Golden Throne) allowing him to be reborn as a beneficent Warp god.

Orange armor and black aquila, generator, and markings. The Knights of Gryphonne do not use company colors, preferring the personal heraldry of the company Captian and squad Sergeant. The chapter symbol is a Griffin, rampant, black on an orange field.
